Water-based Undercoat Emulsion

Water-based Undercoat Emulsion is a PVA-based preparatory coat used to seal porous plaster and concrete before applying the final decorative paint. On cement-plastered walls typical of many builds, an undercoat evens out absorption so the topcoat colour comes out consistent — avoiding the patchy, thirsty-looking finish that happens when emulsion is applied directly onto bare plaster.

Because it reduces how much topcoat paint is soaked up by the wall, Water-based Undercoat Emulsion also cuts down on the number of finishing coats needed — a real cost saving on larger jobs like schools, apartment blocks, or estate housing developments.
